It usually appears within a few hours of submission, but there are sometimes circumstances that cause delays. We get loads of contributions daily, and sometimes, for whatever reason, not all of the admins can make it to the site to process the announcements. Sometimes, contributions don't fit freshmeat, or too many updates have been issued for a single application in a given amount of time, or we just need more information. We will contact you if there's a problem with your submission; please don't write to us on the same day you sent an announcement and ask when it will be posted.
